Analyze real-world CPU, memory, storage, and activity patterns to understand how systems actually operate.
Identify server roles and intent to support accurate migration planning and decision-making.
“Being able to see it any time I want, logging in and looking at it, rather than waiting for a report to be generated in two or three weeks. That's a killer feature.”

Map network traffic and application dependencies to understand how workloads connect and communicate.
Group dependent servers into migration waves based on their real world applications.
Produce sequenced, structured migration plans that move directly from planning into execution.
“I love that you had the correlation: this is the infrastructure, this is what it's doing. So we can sit down with the application owners and say, this is what your estate could look like.”

Both. An agent with a one-line install, or an agentless collector over SSH or WinRM, and for restricted networks a VPN gateway, an on-premises relay with redaction, or a fully on-premises edition. The migration engine is completely agentless and needs nothing installed on the servers being migrated.
An AWS Pricing Calculator link, accurate to the cent, is generated in under a second from a full scan or an RVTools export.
In the AWS region you choose, and it never leaves it: US East (Ohio), US West (Oregon), Frankfurt, Canada, Sydney, London, Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei, Mumbai or the UAE. Encrypted in transit and at rest.
Up to 4 GiB/s per disk, and 19 GiB/s per VM. On our internal benchmarks from an on-premises to AWS migration, 125 servers fully migrated and booted successfully in AWS in under 12 minutes, with a peak portfolio speed of 55 GiB/s.
99% of enterprise operating systems in use: Windows Server 2008 onward, 17 Linux distributions from kernel 2.6.32 up, and FreeBSD 11 onward, on BIOS and UEFI. Every release is boot-verified on a live launch.
No, we do not use MGN. CloudHound's own migration engine streams disk blocks straight from your hypervisor into EBS volumes in your AWS account, with nothing staged in between. Our 6-point fidelity system checksums every block on the way in and verifies the finished volume against the source.
Servers are clustered into applications from the network flows between them, groups that are one application are merged, and a wave that depends on a database in another wave moves with it. Infrastructure is sequenced around them: identity first, then file, print and delivery tiers, the applications largest first, then monitoring, and backup last. Every placement carries its reason, and the plan is fully editable on a drag-and-drop board before anything moves.
SOC 2 Type II, annual third-party audits, AWS Foundational Security Best Practices, CIS v5.0 and USD 10 million cyber liability insurance. Reports on request.
